Sixers’ Odds Improve After Rose Injury

May 8, 2012 -

The Sixers are 5-point underdogs against Chicago in tonight’s Game 5 of the NBA playoffs, even though Philadelphia won the last three games. The Bulls have been hobbled by injuries to Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah and that’s helped the Sixers build a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-seven series. Apparently, oddsmakers expect the Bulls to bounce back at home tonight, although bettors seemed to be favoring the Sixers at about a 6-to-4 clip to beat the spread, according the covers.com, a sports wagering news and statistics website.

As has been often the case with the Sixers this year, the game is expected to be low scoring—the over/under total is 171.5, the lowest O/U of tonight’s four playoff games.
