A tribute to Whitney Houston has been added to the Legends In Concert show at Bally’s Atlantic City beginning Friday.
The Houston tribute, with Jazmine in the role (video below), is one of two new impersonator acts being included in the show that will run though July 11. The other is of British songstress Adele, the recent winner of six Grammy Awards.
They join tribute acts of Elvis Presley, Bobby Darin, Justin Timberlake and Marilyn Monroe. All performers sing with their own natural voices to a live band with backup singers and dancers. Video and lighting special effects add to the authenticity of the acts.
The show is performed in the renamed Legends in Concert Theater, formerly The Palace Theater, with new seating, booths and cocktail tables. Legends performances are 8 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays and Sundays, with two shows on Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. There’s a Wednesday matinee at 3 p.m. (through June 27).
Tickets are $32.50 for adults and $16.25 for children. Special group rates are also available. For tickets, visit www.ballysac.com
Legends is becoming an increasingly important part of the Bally’s entertainment lineup. Being planned is a Legends Memorabilia Wall, highlighting the show’s 30-year history with costumes, musical instruments and archival media. Plus, the casino plans a Legends-sponsored “Dealertainer” gaming pit.
The next summer Legends lineup—the third of five this year—will begin on July 12 and run through September 2, with tribute artists performing as Whitney Houston, Adele, Elvis Presley, Barry White and Cher.
