Valley Forge Hosts
Guinness Dinner

May 14, 2012 -

The greatest Philadelphian of ‘em all, Ben Franklin, is famously credited with the declaration that “beer is proof that God loves us.” OK, we’ll grant that maybe ol’ Ben’s snappy beer quote is a bit on the apocryphal side, but we’re fairly sure that Franklin would be flat-out fascinated by what’s going on these days at Valley Forge.

The Valley Forge Casino Resort is featuring a Guinness Beer Dinner at Valley Tavern from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16. Routinely, the pub-style tavern has 15 beers on tap but on Wednesday, some of those brews find their way into every course in a four-course meal.

The menu inclues …
· First course: Sweet pea risotto and Smithwicks.
· Second course: Herb-crusted wild salmon and Harp.
· Third course: Bacon-wrapped Angus tenderloin and Guinness.
· Fourth course: Toffee caramel cheesecake and Black Lager.

The Valley Tavern is in the lobby of of the Radisson Hotel, which is part of the casino complex. The Guiness dinner is $55 per person and reservations are required. For more information or reservations for the Guinness Beer Dinner, call 610-768-3254 or visit
