SugarHouse New Year’s Eve Celebration

Fireworks. For the second year in a row, SugarHouse Casino will  partner with the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation to present the annual New Year’s Eve fireworks shows at Penn’s Landing. There are two fireworks displays this year, at 6 p.m. and midnight. Casino customers and area residents will be able  to watch the displays from the casino’s public pathway.  SugarHouse is also the title sponsor of the annual Mummers Parade. A variety of winter treats will be sold along the outdoor path including hot dogs, soft pretzels, hot chocolate and sugar cookies from 5—6:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.—12:30 a.m. The path is open to the public with no age restrictions, but guests must be 21 years old to enter the casino.

Entertainment. In SugarHouse, New Year’s Eve fun will begin at 10 p.m. when The Refinery, SugarHouse’s main restaurant and bar, transforms into a dance party with live music by the Dane Anthony Band. Guests will receive complimentary New Year’s Eve hats, noise makers and horns.  Tickets are $65 in advance and $75 at the door, which gets guests two hours of open bar, appetizers and a midnight champagne toast. Casino Promotion. One casino promotion is currently in progress and will continue  through the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve. Guests can earn Sugar Cubes between noon and midnight through Dec. 30. Each day, one winner will be selected every half-hour to win $2,012 in free slot play. Then, on Dec. 31, one winner will be chosen every 12 minutes to receive $2,012 in free slot play.

Mummer’s Parade Shuttle. On New Year’s Day, SugarHouse will be running free shuttles to take guests back and forth to the parade. Guests can park at SugarHouse for free and ride the Mummers Party Bus over to the Broad Street festivities. The bus will depart SugarHouse every hour, on the hour, starting at 10 a.m., and will drop guests off at the corner of 16th St. and John F. Kennedy Blvd. Passengers will also receive complimentary Mummers swag.

New Year’s Day. At the casino, there will be a full day of celebrating 2012 with food and beverage specials including a gourmet buffet brunch from 10 a.m.—2 p.m. at The Refinery with live pasta stations, build-your-own omelets, a dessert bar and more for $20.12 per person.
