Small Fire at Parx Brought Under Control

A small fire at Parx Casino in Bensalem was quickly brought under control on Wednesday morning, according to a report by’s Bensalem website.

Parx spokesperson Carrie Nork Minelli told Patch that the fire was in a construction area away from the casino and fire officials said that there were no injuries and the casino was not evacuated.

Parx is currently undergoing an extensive expansion.

Firefighters responded to the call at 8:34 a.m., and the fire was brought under control in less than 15 minutes, according to Patch.  A fire official said that a welding spark ignited nearby combustibles.
