Resorts Casino Presents
Free Classic Car Show

May 15, 2012 -

Resorts Casino Hotel is hosting a classic car show on Saturday, May 19, along with a sock-hop in its Night Fever Dance Club, plus the casino will be giving visitors a chance to win a 1951 Chevrolet five-window pickup truck—all for free.

The classic car show that’s being held in cooperation with the Rollin Rods of South Jersey is the first of four such shows over the next few months. The shows will feature vehicles prior to 1987 to model year 1940 with awards in various time-period categories.

The car show will be held on the Boardwalk in front of Resorts and in the Boardwalk Parking lot, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, May 20. It will be free to view the cars.

Boardwalk food will be available from Big Paulie’s food truck and Gary’s Steaks food truck featuring Italian sausage and peppers, grilled Rib Eye sandwiches, kettle chips, and more.

After the car show, Resorts will hold a free sock-hop in its Night Fever Dance Club with DJ entertainment.

And just to make the trip a little more worthwhile, Resorts is offering visitors a chance to win that 1951 Chevy pickup by hitting a jackpot on the classic car carousel while playing with the casino players’ club Star Card. Car show guests will get one free handle pull and a shot at $500 in slot cash. Two winners will be chosen at 8 p.m. in the casino. Visit the promotions booth for details.

Classic car owners can get their cars into the show for $15 with proceeds going to the Warfighter & Family Readiness Center, which supports programs for military families.

Dates for the upcoming car shows are June 30, July 28 and Aug. 25.
