Hunger Relief in NJ

A charity poker tournament for hunger relief in New Jersey is being held at the Borgata on Sunday. Cabot Creamery Cooperative is sponsoring the “Put a Bad Beat on Hunger” Texas hold’em tournament at 11 a.m. Registration is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The buy-in is $300 with $60 going to the charity.

According to a website advertising the event, the tournament features “Standard Poker Prize Pool Plus: Winner Receives Entry into WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship $3,500 Value.”

Poker pro and media personality Bernard Lee will kick off the event.

The tournament will benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, Southern Branch. Cabot, based in Montpelier, Vermont is supporting the critical work done by the Community FoodBank of N.J., Southern Branch.
