Stephen Barbella of Malvern finished 151st of the 4,128 entrants in the $1k NLHE Seniors event at the WSOP. The large field has led to a prize pool of over $3.7 million.
According to Poker Pages Barbella also cashed in last year’s Seniors event at the WSOP, which drew 3,752 entrants. Barbella has previous cashes in Borgata tourneys, including what looks like a final table (7th place) during the 2010 Winter Open.
Action in the Senior event resumed Sunday with 32 remaining players, including 2008 WSOP Main Event third-place finisher Dennis Phillips.
