Kerstetter Eliminated
Just Before Bubble

July 13, 2012 -

Bensalem’s Jamie Kerstetter was eliminated from the World Series of Poker Main Event just before the money bubble on Friday.

Kerstetter had a short stack of 12 big blinds going into play Friday. There were 720 players when play began and the bubble was at 666. Clearly, Kerstetter needed a hand to get out of trouble.

Kerstetter moved all-in preflop with A-K but she ran into Filip Verboven’s A-A. The board was of no help. The minimum payout was more than $19,000. Kerstetter also missed the bubble by just a few spots in last week’s National Championship.

After missing the payout in the Main Event on Friday, Kerstetter’s first tweet was to root for friend Katie Dozier who was still playing and is one the four Grindettes, a group of women players that Kerstetter belongs to.
