Gypsy punk is not a very common way to describe a band, but that is pretty much the way to describe Gogol Bordello. The New York band, made up of musicians with Eastern European, Middle Eastern, African, and Pan-American origin is coming to House of Blues Atlantic City on Friday, and they are bringing their guitars, drums, violin and accordion with them.
Front man Eugene Hutz is an energetic presence on stage and the mix of traditional gypsy sounds and rhythm with the added element of punk percussion and guitar distortion makes for an infectious musical experience.
Doors open at 8 p.m.for the all ages show which is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. Tickets for general admission and the balcony reserved seating are both $25. Early admission is available for $30.
