Bethlehem’s Queen Leads
Day 1A at Borgata Championship

Alex Queen of Bethlehem, Pa., finished with the biggest stack after Day 1A of the Borgata Winter Poker Open championship event, a $3,500 buy-in with a $2 million guarantee. Queen bagged 215,125 chips and that earned him a $5,000 bonus for being the first-day chip leader. Day 1B is being played Monday.

Some notables who advanced to the second round on Tuesday include Matt Glantz, Matt Brady, November Niner Phil Collins, John Parker, Winter Open Event No. 1 winner Will Failla, Brian Hastings, Andy Frankenberger and Matt Matros. The last woman left in the room on Day 1A was Philadelphia’s Amanda Musumeci with 70,000 chips.
